Ultrasound examination is paramount in order to assure the normal course of the pregnancy and the well-being of the baby. For most women the pregnancy will evolve without complications, however in the few cases when a problem develops careful follow up can identify and solve it.
It is important that doctors with special training, who have the ability to diagnose a potential complication as well as provide appropriate counselling to the couple, perform the ultrasound examinations of the baby.
