Pregnancy

Ultrasound examination is paramount in order to assure the normal course of the pregnancy and the well-being of the baby. For most women the pregnancy will evolve without complications, however in the few cases when a problem develops careful follow up can identify and solve it.

Special Tests

Some pregnancies require further tests. These may be invasive, which means that we need to take a sample of amniotic fluid (amniocentesis) or placenta (chorionic villus sampling) to perform special investigations. There are also non-invasive tests such the examination of the fetal free DNA in the maternal blood.
